20 CENT FICTION

20 Cent Fiction is a student-run theatre company at The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. We specialize in "alternative" shows, preferring to bring to life the dark, unusual, and often downright weird side of theatre. 

We perform about four shows a year, including our annual production of The Rocky Horror Picture Show​ that is going on 29 years running! We also have several sub-departments including a biweekly movie viewings based off of Mystery Science Theater 3000 called Transgressive Cinema, a literary arts magazine called The Jack, and an annual 24-hour play-in-a-day workshop and performance of what is called Theatre Jam.

 

Founded in 1994, 20 Cent is a "jack-of-all-trades" company, allowing our members to participate in all aspects of a production, whether it be acting, script-writing, directing, stage managing, set-building, playing music, choreographing, or simply watching from the audience! We will gladly welcome everyone who wants to join our community! We don't bite...
